Project Objective:
The project aims to enhance cross-border cooperation in sports between municipalities in Latvia and Estonia, focusing on:
- Strengthening collaboration between municipal sports specialists.
- Encouraging young people to participate in sports training.
- Exchanging successful practices in organizing sports events and promoting an active lifestyle.
Key Activities:
- Joint sports competitions between Latvia and Estonia, including:
- Track-and-field athletics.
- Football, basketball, and floorball tournaments.
- Shooting competitions.
- Three sports camps for athletes from both countries.
- Three exchange visits for sports specialists, allowing sports schools and clubs to learn from each other's experiences.
Expected Results:
- Increased cooperation among municipal sports specialists in the border regions.
- Greater engagement of young people in sports training and events.
- Enhanced sports event organization through knowledge exchange.
- Stronger cross-border networks among sports professionals, teams, and trainees.
Target Groups:
- Sports specialists and coaches.
- Members of sports teams and trainees in track-and-field athletics and shooting.
- Residents of partner municipalities who are currently involved in sports or interested in starting.
