Surrounded by Heritage

Project Objective:

The project aims to enhance heritage culture teaching in municipal schools and kindergartens by promoting the use of contemporary and innovative practices and technologies.

"Surrounded by Heritage" focuses on improving how local cultural heritage is integrated into early education across four cultural spaces in Estonia and Latvia. The approach supports children's natural learning process by surrounding them with heritage elements in their everyday educational environment.

The project will develop a common cross-border strategy and action plan for municipalities, and implement pilot activities involving teachers and students to test and demonstrate the approach in practice.

Key Activities:

• Joint development of a cross-border strategy and action plan for surrounding children with local cultural heritage in schools and kindergartens.
• Pilot actions in educational institutions, actively involving teachers and students.
