Project Objective:
The project aims to jointly develop a new sustainable production technology for Varenicline Tartrate, a drug used for smoking cessation. The main beneficiary will be TBD Pharmatech Ltd., where the developed technology will complement its product portfolio.
General Aim:
- To serve as a case model for future cooperation in pharmaceutical development.
- To foster synergy and innovation between:
- Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis
- TBD Pharmatech Ltd. (Estonia)
- To strengthen the pharmaceutical sector in Estonia and Latvia, where resources are limited.
- To enhance international competitiveness and visibility through collaboration.
Expected Results:
- A new, sustainable production technology for Varenicline Tartrate.
- Stronger cross-border collaboration in pharmaceutical research and development.
- A model for future drug development services based on shared expertise and innovation.
- Increased competitiveness of the Estonian and Latvian pharmaceutical sectors on an international scale.
