Project Objective:
The project aims to jointly develop two molecular diagnostic tests for:
- Female infertility
- Male infertility
These tests will support precision medicine, improving:
- Diagnostic accuracy and treatment efficiency for infertile couples.
- The likelihood of successful treatment outcomes.
- The reduction of inherited disorders in offspring.
Key Activities:
- Addressing ethical considerations related to reproductive genetic testing.
- Establishing a study biobank to support reproductive diagnostics.
- Developing prototypes for both female and male infertility tests.
- Validating the diagnostic tests to ensure reliability and effectiveness.
- Providing guidelines for genetic counselling, supporting healthcare professionals and patients.
Expected Results:
- Two validated molecular diagnostic tests for infertility treatment.
- A study biobank to facilitate ongoing reproductive research.
- Ethically sound and scientifically backed guidelines for genetic counselling.
