Project Objective:

The project aims to enhance accessibility in the Estonian-Latvian Military Heritage Tourism Product by:

  • Developing and piloting four accessibility solutions.
  • Implementing accessibility improvements in 11 military heritage sites.
  • Targeting diverse social groups, including:
    • School-aged youth.
    • People with visual impairments.
    • Individuals with mobility restrictions.
    • Visitors experiencing anxiety or claustrophobia.
  • Conducting joint targeted marketing to promote inclusive tourism.

Key Activities:

  • Developing and implementing accessibility solutions in military heritage tourism sites.
  • Incorporating accessibility information into marketing materials.
  • Encouraging broader adoption of accessibility solutions across the Military Heritage Tourism Network.
  • Creating tailored content for school-aged youth, delivered via interactive and digital formats.
  • Introducing audio, video, and augmented reality solutions for visitors with accessibility needs.

Expected Results:

  • Four tested and implemented accessibility solutions improving inclusivity.
  • Enhanced accessibility in 11 military heritage sites for diverse visitor groups.
  • Interactive and digital learning experiences for school-aged youth.
  • Improved visitor experience through audio, video, and augmented reality solutions.
  • Greater awareness and promotion of accessible military heritage tourism.
