ML4HealthyForest

Project Objective:

The project aims to support sustainable forest management in Estonia and Latvia by developing a fully automated service that uses machine learning and remote sensing technologies to provide forest owners with data-driven management recommendations.

ML4HealthyForest will deliver a digital solution offering automated, objective forest management advice to at least 300 private forest owners, covering approximately 100,000 hectares of forest land. The service will use remote sensing data, machine learning models, and automated forest growth algorithms to generate recommendations.

The target users include private individuals, companies, and investment funds managing forest properties in both countries.

Key Activities:

• Development and deployment of the ML4HealthyForest digital service.
• Application of remote sensing and machine learning to model forest health and growth.
• Delivery of automated forest management recommendations to end-users.
