Project Objective:
The MatchWork project aims to strengthen innovation capacity and support job market integration between Estonia and Latvia. By addressing challenges related to digitalisation and artificial intelligence, the project seeks to increase productivity and competitiveness among SMEs in both countries.
The project unites two partners – Visas Iespējas (Latvia) and Mobi Lab (Estonia) – to develop two complementary innovations:
- A Design Driven Development (DDD) system for Mobi Lab to enhance their internal design and IT development processes.
- A MatchWork mobile app, building on Visas Iespējas’ existing web-based recruitment tool, to streamline the job-matching process through mobile accessibility.
These solutions aim to promote cross-border cooperation, knowledge transfer, and the adoption of advanced digital tools within the labour market.
Key Activities:
- Co-development of a structured design system (DDD) by Mobi Lab for internal and external use.
- Enhancement of the MatchWork recruitment tool through mobile app development, improving user experience for HR professionals and job seekers.
- Creation of communication materials, including a case study, infographics, and social media content.
- Pilot testing and feedback collection to ensure usability and real-world application.
Expected Results:
- A fully operational Design Driven Development system integrated into Mobi Lab’s workflows.
- A user-friendly MatchWork mobile app designed to improve job matching and remote recruitment processes.
- Increased innovation capacity and competitiveness for both project partners.
- Improved access to employment for underrepresented groups, including rural populations, young people, and young mothers.
- Reduction of environmental impact through fewer in-person interviews and reduced travel needs.
Cross-border relevance:
This collaborative initiative leverages the technical expertise of Mobi Lab and the market insights of Visas Iespējas to create scalable, sustainable solutions. The cooperation provides an opportunity for market expansion, shared resources, and knowledge exchange between Estonia and Latvia.
Long-term impact:
The tools developed within the project will remain integral to the partners’ operations beyond the project’s end. Visas Iespējas aims to scale the MatchWork solution internationally and form partnerships with municipalities and universities to support disadvantaged job seekers. The collaboration also opens future opportunities for joint EU-funded initiatives and consultancy-based partnerships.
