The call is open from 2 September 2024 to 5 December 2024 at 14:00. Applications must be submitted electronically through the JEMS system. It is mandatory to consult with the programme secretariat before submitting your application to ensure a smooth and successful process.
Funding can be applied for in the following areas:

Support for cross-border cooperation in regions and the creation and development of jointly developed public services. This includes projects that promote interaction between people and help bring communities closer (budget: 1.47 million euros). In previous calls, projects under this priority have included strategies promoting healthy and sustainable school meals (Green School Dining), exploring public-private cooperation for harbour development (Harbours & PPP), and strengthening cross-border cooperation in managing rivers and water bodies (River Networks). People-to-people projects such as Active Manors and Sports for All include activities which promote social integration and cooperation through cultural, youth, and sports initiatives. - Support for jointly and smartly growing businesses. Cross-border projects that help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) take up innovation to develop competitiveness and economic growth (budget: 1.57 million euros). Current examples include the Digital Greenhouse project, which focuses on digitalising agriculture by using smart solutions, and PharmaBoost, which promotes cross-border cooperation in drug development. - Support for projects focusing on nature protection and conservation and reducing pollution in the border areas of Estonia and Latvia, ensuring a sustainable and resilient programme area (budget: 2.03 million euros). For example, the AutoFish project promotes sustainable fisheries, and BioFloat is testing floating islands to reduce pollution and support biodiversity. The funding rate is up to 80% of eligible costs, with no minimum limit for funding amounts.
The European Regional Development Fund is financing various projects through the Estonia-Latvia Programme with a total of 26 million euros for the 2021-2027 period. The programme helps to develop cooperation between southern and western Estonia and northern and western Latvia, with project partners from organizations and companies in both countries.
