Project applications are welcome under the following three priorities:
- More Cooperating Cross-Border Regions and Development of Joint Services: This priority aims to enhance cross-border cooperation through the development of joint services and initiatives that bring Estonian and Latvian communities closer together.
- Jointly and Smartly Growing Businesses: This priority supports innovative collaborations between businesses in Estonia and Latvia, focusing on smart growth and the exchange of knowledge and resources.
- Sustainable and Resilient Programme Area: Projects under this priority are expected to contribute to environmental sustainability and the resilience of the cross-border region, addressing issues such as climate change, biodiversity, and sustainable resource management.

Who can apply?
This call is open to a wide range of organizations from both Estonia and Latvia, including:
- Public Institutions: local, regional, and national authorities.
- Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Foundations: organizations engaged in social, economic, or environmental development.
- Private Sector Entities: companies, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with an interest in innovation and sustainable growth.
- Educational and Research Institutions: universities, research centers, and other educational bodies.
- Umbrella Organizations and Intermediaries: organizations that provide support and coordination across various sectors and regions.
Important Dates to Remember
- Information Seminar: An online seminar will be held on 27 September 2024 from 10:00 to 12:30, where participants will be introduced to the programme and the application process. This event will take place via Zoom or Teams.
REGISTER to the infoseminar - Application Form Workshop: A two-hour workshop dedicated to guiding applicants on how to fill out the application form in JEMS will be held on 18 October 2024. This workshop will provide practical insights and advice on successfully completing your application.
Register to JEMS Workshop - Compulsory Consultations: Before submitting your project application, a consultation with the Joint Secretariat is mandatory. It is highly recommended to book your consultation time in advance to ensure compliance with all requirements.
