23 project applications submitted within the 3rd call!
The 3rd call was launched on 5 October, 2017 in Tartu, Estonia and thematically was targeted for the Specific Objective 1.2. "More jointly developed products and services in the programme area".
23 project application were submitted in the electronic monitoring system of the programme by 14 December, 14:00, 2017.
Assessment of submitted applications is ongoing and the selection of projects to be funded will take place in second half of April, 2018 and results of the selection will be communicated in programme news on our Facebook and web news accordingly.
Overview of SO 1.2
Partnership
At least one SME from Latvia and one SME from Estonia must participate in the development of a joint product or service.
The main factors determining whether an enterprise is an SME are:

These ceilings apply to the figures for individual firms only. A firm that is part of a larger group may need to include staff headcount/turnover/balance sheet data from that group too. Please read more at

Specific requirements
Participating SMEs must take into account following criteria:
- The participating SME must have at least 50 000 EUR for annual turnover for year 2016.
- The annual reports of participating SME-s for years 2015 and 2016 are submitted to the relevant national registries.[1]
- Requested ERDF support for an SME can be maximum 50% of the SME’s last annual turnover.
- All participating SMEs must have their own functioning product or service at the time of submitting a project application.
All SO 1.2 projects must fulfil the following output indicators:
- Joint products and services developed in cooperation
- Joint marketing activities.
Maximum grant size: 500 000 EUR.
Examples of expected activities for joint product development
- Joint product and service development;
- Long-term development activities for SMEs;
- Building marketing and sales related competencies;
- Marketing activities;
- Enhancing cooperation between SMEs, research and educational institutions, and public support structures.

Publicity guidelines
Publicity Guidelines inform you about the use of the programme Logo, requirements for reference to the funding of the programme and eligibility of costs related to the publicity of activities within the project. Costs related to fulfilment of these requirements can be included in the budget of the project.

Application procedure
The project application has to be developed and submitted in the electronic monitoring system of the programme by 14 December, 14:00.

5. Where the project activities include construction works or other works that fall under the regulation of the national building legislation, the supporting documentation has to be in line with the national building egislation. One copy of a full set of documents required under the national building laws, including building permit (ehitusluba/būvatļauja) must be submitted to the JS together with the application form.
6. Document „Justification of investments“ in the following cases and as described in the point 6.2.2. of the programme manual:
- Cost of a single piece or a set of equipment in one location exceeds 50 000 euros under the budget line “Equipment”,
- Construction costs per object/location exceed 50 000 euros under the budget line “Infrastructure and works”,
- A total cost per object/location under the budget lines “Equipment” and “Infrastructure and works” exceeds 50 000 euros.
