30km for Interreg 30
In 2008 the first Estonia-Latvia cooperation project was supported by the Interreg Estonia-Latvia programme. Since then there are many cooperation projects implemented and great partnerships with neighbours established. Interreg stands for the European Territorial Cooperation and this year celebrates 30 years of its existence. Cooperation projects often are full of challenges and a challenging 30km hike was offered to 50 hikers from Estonia and Latvia on the Interreg30 Anniversary Hike on 6 September, 2020.
The 30km route was specially designed for #Interreg30 and we have celebrated the cooperation and nature along the lesser-travelled East side of Cēsis city in Latvia.
The event was organized by the Interreg Latvia of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of Latvia in cooperation with Interreg Estonia-Latvia programme, Interreg Latvia-Lithuania Programme and Interreg Central Baltic Programme and Latvia-Russia CBC Programme.
