Green event choices were made by our programme also in 2020. To celebrate the 30 years of Interreg and the European Cooperation Day we planted 30 trees in the joint Valga-Valka twin city centre on 19 September!
Greening of the Valga-Valka Centre
We invited programme authorities, guests and representatives from the project Valga-Valka Centre to meet in the newly constructed centre and contribute to the greening plan of the new urban and cross-border space. In total 155 trees are planted on the Estonia-Latvia border and its surrounding area.
Valga-Valka Centre
Twin Town Valga-Valka is located on the Estonia-Latvia border and uses the motto – „One city, two states”. The common interest and benefit of the twin towns in the development of joint territory – Valga-Valka Twin Town Centre – is to improve physical connectivity, unite both towns’ citizens, promote tourism and activate entrepreneurship.
